Does anyone know if TeXnicCenter has a dropdown or a short cut to
building reference code. I recall that WinEdit had a dropdown menu
that allowed you to select what type of reference you wanted,
generated all the code with blank spots for the user to fill in (but I
got sick of WinEdit!). Does TeXnicCenter have similar capabilities?

Thanks

I don't know, if TC have this function, it would be very usefull. But I use BibEdit, there you can import your bibliography and include new entries.
It is freeware and can be downloaded freely
the Disadvantage is, that it can't download the citations itself, but you can connect severel bibliographies to one

Hi,

Yes, You can easily build Your own dropdown entries and short cuts...

First open a new document (mandatory) and call:

Insert => Own text modules => Manage text modules

to build a new reference code module...e.g. cite : "\cite{" and "}"

Second, call once the new defined module from the insert menu (a small
bug, I think ;-) )
and after that you can define a new short cut here:

Tools => Customize => Keyboard (Category: Insert)

Thats all

Greetings
Kris
