Hello,
I'm wondering if there's a command for the interior of a set. It should look
like a letter (which is the name of the set) and a small circle above. For
the formulas I'm using amsmath, amsfonts and amssym.
Thank's in advance

Hi,

I guess it is just it a matter of choosing a command
for superscripts from the editor tool bar; in the
palce of the superscipt "^" you just type the small
letter "o" and then compose! It is enough to type,
say, $A^{o}$ and run!

Hi Mike
Unfortunately this doesn't work out. The "^" command puts the circle not
only above the "A" but also to the right.

Dear All:

When I used an old version of Miktex (forgot which
version), when I double click the mouse in Yap, the
cursor goes back directly to TeXnicCenter editor at
the beginning of the paragraph where I want to make
the change. After I installed the new 2.6-Beta-1
version, however, the .tex file is opened with
notepad. Does any of you have similar experience?

Thanks,

Qinjun

Re-run the output wizard in TXC. You'll find it under "Output | Define
output profiles...".

Hi Tino:

Thanks for the reply, but what should I change? I
didn't recall any special configuration I made to get
this work with the old version.

Well, TXC will tell YAP where to find it. It should work. If not, please
come back.

Hi Tino:

Unfortunately it doesn't work. In addition, if I
include an eps figure, use LaTex => DVI profile to
compile and view output using Yap, I get the following
message:

"The document cannot be rendered properly because the
current render method does not support PostScript
specials. Temporarily switch to the Dvips render
method?

Yes No
"

If I click no, the figure will not show. In either
case, double click in Yap opens the .tex file using
notepad. Not sure what goes wrong. Hope you can help
me out and I don't have to go back to the older
version of Miktex.

Thanks a lot!

Unfortunately it doesn't work.
Well, it works on my computer. However.

Open Yap, go to its options, go on the inverse search tab and create a
new editor

Programm: %YOUR_PATH_TO_TXC%\TEXCNTR.EXE
Arguments: /ddecmd "[goto('%f', '%l')]"

A problem of YAP, not of TXC. Simply change the default rendering mode
in YAPs options.

Hi Qinjun and Tino
I had similar problem and I still do. With MikTex 2.4, It was perfect after intalling some fonts. With the ver 2.5, I forget how I got those fonts, hence bacck to sqr 1.

However, you can overcome this problem by basically doing the ff:

1. Open Yap, go to its options, go on the display tab
2. In the Default render method, change Pk fonts to Dvips

In my case, I notice it does not matter whether you use TeXnicCenter (auto-detected) or follow the suggestion given by Tino below; I use window XP.

Good luck.
Franklin.
