LaTeX compilation hangs

Hi,

I'm using TexNic with the MikTek distribution of LaTeX to build a very
large manuscript of a book (it's about 1500 pages long). The author is
using the same setup and is able to compile, but when I try, the
compilation begins then hangs at a certain point, always the same:

C:\Program Files\MikTek 2.7\tex\latex\jknappen\ursfs.fd

No error message is produced, it just sits there doing nothing no matter
how long I leave it.

I have MikTek set to install missing packages on the fly, and I've
checked to see that this package is installed and it is. I really don't
know what the problem is.

Any suggestions?

Good suggestion! At the point at which it was hanging, it was asking
me for proxy authentication -- not sure why. Once I give it that, it
compiles.

Thanks!
